Health Benefits Of Bonding With A Pet
0I’m sure you’ve heard all the buzz about how healthy it is for a pet owner to own a pet. So what’s the big deal about bonding with your pet? We’ll, many studies say it lowers stress, reduces blood pressure and just makes us feel good.

One thing that you may not be aware of is that you can be good for your pet too. So, when you carve out those special moments for bonding with your pet, you both reap the benefits.. The key here is to make this a daily habbit, not just here and there.
What do I need to know about bonding with my pet and how to do it? There’s a lot more involved than just a trip to the park. While this is a fun thing for your pup, it’s usually a one sided activity. He’s bonding all right, but with other dogs, not you. The other dogs are much more involved in the bonding activity that you are. Your pet has to really identify with the experience, in order for the bonding exercise to be effective.

Well then, how do I go about this? Playing with your furry friend is an absolute necessity for proper bonding . Ensure that you are not distracted and you can devote your full attention to him. Your cat will also bond to you through play. Some cats even love to chase little toy mice that you toss. Your puppy or kitty needs this bonding/play time in order to stay mentally and physically healthy.
If you want to bond with your dog or cat, grooming is a great way to do it. When brushing your dog or cat, you really establish a strong bond with them. This regular grooming helps to not only keep your pet happy, but healthy too. When I first began our daily grooming ritual with my cat, I used to have to seek him out for his brushing. Currently, he can’t get enough brushing. Even the sight of the brush starts him purring.
Another good way to bond with your pet is by providing treats. Treats definitely help to buid rapport with your furry friend. An unexpected treat can be just the ticket, and will teach your pet to expect good things to come from you. You will be thought of as the pleasure bringer for the rest of your pet’s life. This also is helpful to do immediately after a potentially stressful event. One thing my cat does not like at all is getting his claws trimmed. However, they have come to learn that they will receive some bonita flakes (their version of chocolate, I am sure) directly afterwards. The claw trimming is not such a huge ordeal any more!
So, take some extra time with your pet today – and everyday! They deserve it, and it will be good health for both of you!
